Review For Sennheiser Momentum TrueWireless
Momentum True Wireless Earphone Build
When it comes to a feature-rich headset, the Sennheiser Momentum has it all. Furthermore, it is one of the companies smallest offered thus far.
The first thing you notice on the Momentum Free Wireless Earphone is there is no cord. Alternatively, they have loaded it with a 7mm driver and in a classic silver finish.
On the exterior is a pleasing pattern in magnetic gold to connect each earbud. You get a stylish carry case to keep the earbuds secure in place for traveling.
However, here comes the first downside it gives you four hours of use. Luckily, the good news is the charging case provides two full charges to provide you with 12-hours of playback.
On the other hand, the case does not add extra weight and comes with USB-C charging. The earbuds made of silicone, lightweight, and feels like placing Rollo’s in the ear.
The buds comfortable even with the boxy shape, and it does lack the famous wingtips found in most earbud brands. For a perfect fit, you do get three extra ear tip sizes.
So get your perfect fit to prevent them from falling out. One thing’s sure the headsets made for commuting and stays in well in the ear for light workouts as well.
However, if you need a pair of earbuds for sports activities, we recommend you look at the Bose SoundSport and Bose SoundSport Free instead.
So how well do the wireless headphones perform?
The Momentum True Wireless has an intuitive touch control. All it takes is a simple tap on your left earbud to play/pause tunes.
Furthermore, with a double tap, you can skip tracks and holding the finger down on the right, or the left bud boosts the sound. Compared to use fiddling cable-line controls, this is a breath of fresh air for a change.
However, we would have liked to change the rate of increasing and decreasing the volume as well. Sometimes you struggle with the timing to hold down the control to set the volume.
In spite of this, the Sennheiser Momentum offers you hands-free use by tapping on the right bud to activate the smart assistant on your phone.
You can use it with Google Assistant and Siri to stream apps and navigate your audio library with your voice. When it comes to performance, the audio does not disappoint at all!
You get a high sound profile as expected from most Sennheiser headphones. The soundstage can be extensive at times while the low-end frequencies come over muddy at times. However, it does all depend on the music you listen.
Do you want head-banging bass available in the Beats headphones?
Do not expect to get it from the Momentum Wireless earphones. However, the mid and high frequencies balance well when it comes to vocals and instruments.
You get a natural sound to suit mid-range instrument and vocals from house music. Alternatively, you are always aware of your surroundings with the Transparent Hearing feature.
The technology records external noise and transmits to the ears and useful for jogging and commuting. On the other hand, the sound isolations not perfect for keeping out ambient noise completely.
A standout that you will adore is the stable Bluetooth connection as there is no signal breaking when wandering away from your phone.
The pairing process starts as soon as you remove the wireless in-ear earbuds from its case. Even connecting with other devices is simple.
How do you know the level of charge of the earphones?
You can find a small LED on the rear of the box indicating the level of charge. The green lights show you have 50% battery available, while yellow is less and red shows empty.
When charged for the first time, it takes up to an hour to reach full power. However, if you want to know the exact power remaining, you can use the Sennheiser Smart Control app.
