Beats Studio3 Wireless Design

First impressions count, and this is what the Studio3 wireless headphones did for us. You get a wide selection of colors matte black; porcelain rose, blue, white, and red.

However, for us, the shadow gray and gold version stands out from all. You get a dash of flair with metal accents on the over-ear headphone band.

On the other hand, the aesthetic looks fashionable; it is all plastic. Therefore, we felt the over-ear headphones are a bit overpriced.

What’s more, if you do choose the matte black finish, you will find it is a dust and fingerprint magnet. Thus, we would be careful tossing these into a gym bag even with the lightweight.

Do not get us wrong the designs flawless, but we would like to see more durability.

So how portable are these headphones?

While the Beats Studio 3 lacks a durable construction, it makes up for it with portability. You can fold the band like most over-ear earphones and fits into the supplied carrying case.

The cups do not rotate so you cannot wear these around the neck (looking for one check out the Sony WH-1000XM3.) Furthermore, you can flex the cans a bit, but do not recommend it.

Now for controls and features, there is plenty. You find the controls on the earcups with a 3.5mm audio port placed on the left one. On the right earcup, you have the micro USB charging port with the noise-canceling button.

Instead of finding a metal plated button, you get a plastic one and allow you manual access to all the functions available. You can skip/pause, play, volume up/down, and use Siri.

Furthermore, Android users lose out, as there is no smart assistant available for you. On the right side, you can connect an in-line microphone and control ANC.

If you do not want to use the active noise canceling you, need to switch it off every time you use the headphones.

Now the most important of all what about sound

Beats come typically over as a headphone with powerful sound. Studio3 wireless is not one of the best headphones in volume sense.

Unfortunately, audiophiles will find a lack of robustness compared to other models such as the 1More Triple Driver. Now do not get us wrong these do go loud, but you do not get pure sound.

Furthermore, it has low-end bass compared to the excellent pounding bass found in Beats. On the other hand, the treble and mids sound good.

Otherwise, the sound tends to distort when listened to high volumes. While the earphones not for vocals it works well with R&B. At the same time, as the sounds, not perfect the noise-canceling works well.

The connectivity, as mentioned, is equipped with aux cable and micro-USB charging port. Both these connections do not work well with the iPhone. Furthermore, it does not come with a Lightning connection or adaptor.

What Apple is doing is forcing you to use the earphones wirelessly. The Bluetooth connections standard and provides a decent distance to enjoy the wireless function. The pairing is quickly offering a user-friendly experience.

Now how long can you listen to music? The battery gives you up to 10-hours on full volume and 23-hours using half the volume.

To make up for the shortcomings, it also has fast charging to give you three extra hours of use.

Pros and Cons Beats Studio3 Wireless Earphones

Should You Buy the Beats Studio3 Wireless?

If you are not an audiophile, the mediocre sound should not be a problem. The headphones have a comfortable fit without the heavyweight to it.

Furthermore, there is not much pressure on the ears and suitable for users with a more massive head to wear. The band does lack flexibility and can lead to pressure over the head at times.

The weightless design is perfect for daily use, and you can use it hands-free with the Voice Assistant. A standout is a W1 chip for a one-step Bluetooth connection with your iPhone or other iOS devices. The battery life is excellent, and you can turn the ANC on/off.

Therefore, if you are a fan of Apple, you will love the Beats Studio 3 while Android users will not benefit much using these.

For Apple users, the Beats Studio3 wireless noise-canceling headphones are excellent. However, do not expect an audiophile sound using them.

The headphones comfortable to wear for hours, and it has immense battery life. You can choose your preferred color finish to match with your attire as well.
